ADENIKE EKUA ADEMUYIWA

Adenike the lead documentary photographer at Mpuntusem, has a degree in Sociology from the University of Ghana. Her experience in researching sociological issues lends her work a depth of perspective, and appreciation for the patterns of social relationships, interactions and cultures that make up the human existence. Over the last six years, she has worked as a photography consultant with leading organisations such as the United Nations Children’s Fund, MTN Mobile Money and TREND Ghana. Adenike has also recently been engaged by Thomson Reuters as a photojournalism consultant.
Passionate about capturing human interest stories through the lens of the camera, Adenike uses creative photography to showcase the positive impacts of social investments in the lives of beneficiaries. “I believe in the power of photography as an effective tool for communication, advocacy and transformative change in society” she says.
